Liverpool University Boat Club is a dynamic and lively club which combines the joys of university life with the competitiveness of rowing as a professional sport.
We currently train on the water alongside Runcorn Rowing Club on the River Weaver. Here we row in eights, fours and pairs. Sculls are also available! At LUBC there are both men's and women's crews of senior and novice standard.
We train on the water both days at the weekend. Sometimes there are water based training sessions mid-week too, along with circuit training which takes place twice a week in Sefton and/or the Guild. There are also set ergos to do in between!
We compete in various head races and regattas throughout the year, for example the Head of the River in London as well as the BUSA Regatta (British Universities Sports Association).
However, we do not forget to enjoy ourselves too as there are socials aplenty!
