The next elections will be:
Student Representative Officer Elections As a democratic organisation, and in line with the documents that govern the organisation, every year during the spring term, the Guild hosts elections to posts of President, Deputy President and two Vice-Presidents. These posts are full time, salaried positions. Student can be elected during their final year of study for the following academic year, on completion of their studies. Students elected during the course of their studies, are required to take a year out in order for them to fulfil their role. The Student Representative Officers form the political leadership of the organization, taking a lead role on lobbying to improve the experience for students at the University of Liverpool. The role of the SRO, which is outlined in more detail below entails a number of different dimensions, including holding a seat of the Guild’s Board of Trustees. Student Trustee Elections The Guild’s legal controlling body, the Board of Trustees, holds 12 seats (the 4 Student Representative Officers, 4 External Trustees- appointed for their skill and experience- and 4 Student Trustees). You are elected on a two year cycle, however, should you cease your studies before this period, you will have deemed to have resigned.
