Admissions Policy: LGoS reserves the right to operate a ‘NO Search = No Entry’ door policy on any event.
Unless otherwise stated, entry is only permitted to those over the age of 18 years. LGoS operates a ‘Challenge 21’ door policy whereby ‘No ID = No Entry’. Only photo driving licences, photo passports and photo ID bearing the ‘PASS’ holographic logo are accepted as proof of age.
All student events, such as Double Vision, Thank Funk It’s Friday and School Disco, are open to students and bona fide guests only. Any student ID, regardless of educational establishment, is valid to gain entry (subject to above requirements for proof of age). Forms of student ID accepted are; NUS cards, NUS Extra cards, ISIC cards, University ID cards and Associate Membership cards. Non-students will only be admitted in the context of being a ‘bona fide guest’ of a card holding student and each student will be limited to a maximum of two guests per event. All non-students must enter the venue at the same time as the cardholder whose guest they are.
At open door events such as Sniggers Comedy Club, promoter or gig nights, student ID is not a required prerequisite although it may often provide for discounted entry, for admission and entry will be granted to any member of the public, subject to compliance with all other venue regulations.
Any individual who is, or appears to be, intoxicated will be refused entry.
Any individual not adhering to the event dress code may be refused entry.
Drugs/Weapons: The Guild operates a zero tolerance policy regarding both drugs and weapons. Any individual found in possession of any illegal substances and/or weapons will be refused entry / ejected from the premises and details will be passed to the police.
Fire Alarms: In accordance with health and safety policies and regulations the building will be evacuated each time the fire alarm is activated. Any individual found deliberately setting off the fire alarm will be ejected and may face a barring and / or fine and / or prosecution.
Strobe Lighting: Strobe lighting may be used at any event. Should any customer be concerned that this may adversely affect either themselves or their guest(s) they should make their concerns known either in advance to the Venue Manager or at the door of entry to the head of security or Duty Manager. In any instance where the use of strobes is of concern to a customer every effort will be made to remove them from use for that event. To this end, where the event in question is an LGoS run event the strobes will be removed from use to ensure that individual is able to attend and enjoy the event, where the event in question is a promoter run event the request would be made of the promoter and the response communicated to the individual(s) concerned.
Glassware: In the interests of health and safety the Guild operates a strict ‘No Glass’ policy at all its club and gig events. As a consequence of this the only drinking vessels available are plastic glasses, PET bottles and aluminium cans. No bottles or glasses are permitted to be brought into the venue and any attempt to do so may result in refusal of admission and / or a barring.
Liverpool Guild of Students reserves the right to add, delete and amend these venue regulations without prior notice.
