Our mission is student life support, and the central way we do this is by representing your point of view to the University, the City of Liverpool and wider UK government.
We do this by gathering information directly from you when you take part in activity, access our services, attend an event, and become a part of our governance.
We're always listening in order that we can form and promote policies to ensure that you benefit from the best deal possible, so if you'd like to play a greater role in representing yourself or your fellow students, contact us at enquiries@lgos.org.
Student Representative OfficersEach year student representatives are elected in a cross campus ballot during the Autumn and Lent terms. These representatives are the voice of University of Liverpool students to the University and the wider community. They help shape the direction of LGoS and are there to listen to your concerns and recommendations, so if you see them around don’t hesitate to stop them and tell them what you think. |
Course repsThe role of a Course Rep is to represent the views of the students on their course to the academic staff at student staff liaison committees, meaning they are one of the main channels through which students can exert a measure of control over their own learning experience. Course Reps are vital in aiding the University to ensure the quality of its academic programmes, and in holding those programmes to account. |
National Union of Students (NUS)LGoS is a member of the National Union of Students, and so is every student of the University of Liverpool (you'll find the logo on the back of your student card). NUS is a democratic organisation which is driven and directed by its membership. 98% of UK students’ unions, guilds or associations are affiliated to NUS making it the largest student organisation in Europe. |
