Keeping Yourself Safe

LGoS is committed to ensuring that you have a safe volunteering experience when involved in placements, one off events or projects. However, there are a number of steps you can take to maximise your personal safety, and the safety of those you come into contact with whilst volunteering.

The organisations who are registered on volunteeringliverpool.org and those who are associated with the projects we promote have all got Health and Safety policies but you will still need to be aware of any risks involved in the volunteering you are involved in.

It is important that you consider the safety of any activities you undertake relating to your volunteering. If during the volunteering you have any concerns about safety, it is important that you talk to the organisation about them. If you feel you are unable to do this please contact the Volunteering and Fundraising Coordinator for further advice on kcooper@liverpool.ac.uk.
