Health & Wellbeing

Kick Start a more active lifestyle.

2010 is the Year of Health and Wellbeing in Liverpool.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to join together and make positive changes to their health and the way they feel about themselves.

There are 2 aspects of well-being, feeling good and functioning well and both of these are an important part of being healthy.

Throughout the year we will be supporting the region’s efforts to bring about a new focus for wellbeing, themed around the 5 ways to wellbeing that are proven to make a real difference to the way you feel. Building these actions into your daily routine could add up to 7.5 years to your life and make you feel good -and feeling good is an important part of being healthy!

The five ways to wellbeing are:

  • Connect
  • Be active
  • Take notice
  • Keep learning
  • Give

You can pledge your support to 2010 whether you are an individual, workplace, community group, school or group of friends. We are encouraging everyone to pledge their support and would love to hear how you intend on trying to improve the wellbeing of yourself and those around you.

An events calendar has been developed with details of events and activities taking place across the City/Region that will enable people to connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give. If you are planning an event that links to one or more of the five ways to wellbeing, then this could be included in the online calendar. You can fill out the attached form and submit to info@2010healthandwellbeing.org.uk
