► Community Rep Scheme
The Community Rep Scheme is run by Liverpool Guild of Students and Liverpool Students’ Union. The Community Reps aim to build stronger relations between students and the wider community. The Community Representative Scheme aims to build stronger relations with the local community and to help students feel more at home in Liverpool. The scheme will involve regular communication with residents, representation at local meetings and council consultations, events and volunteering projects. Through our “Give Kensington, Smithdown, Marybone, Georgian Quarter and Aigburth some Love” campaigns and our other activities, we encourage students to get involved in, look after and feel proud of their local community.
Community reps work with residents, students, your local councillors as well as with local organisations like the council police and fire services, to help address issues in the community.
The Student Reps will also attend local residents meetings and Your Community Matters Events, and may organise community events.

Community Rep Scheme

They help people to improve their local environment and community by providing them with the information, direction, advice and contacts that they need to resolve community-based issues. The reps can help with recycling and refuse removal, housing advice, neighbour issues, antisocial behaviour, safety and security at home and much more. Whilst they are not experts on all issues, and have no magic wands to wave they will always try to help and refer people to appropriate agencies if they are unable to solve the issue.
